Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh on October 11,1942.
His father Harivansh Roy Bachchan was a renowned Hindi poet. His mother's name is Teji Bachchan. She was from Faisalabad (now in Pakistan).

3. Amitabh Bachchan as an Actor
It is believed that his mother has an influence on the choice of acting as his carrier since she was very enthusiastic about film acting'. But, for her domestic duties, he could not accept the opportunity to act in the film.
At the beginning of his film career, Bachchan had to struggle a lot. Even he had to spend several nights on the benches of Marine Drive.
For decades, we know him as a living legend, the face of Bollywood, Shahenshah of Bollywood, etc. But he didn't get there overnight.
In the early stage, he was rejected several times because of his height (too tall for his role in the movie). Even at the top of his popularity, he's seen some gloomy days.
